Dalcharn is approached by a working farm road and across a river ford, more easily driven in winter in a 4 x 4 vehicle.

 The house has been redecorated with the traditional charm of woodlined walls and flagstone floors throughout the ground floor.  Sitting in privacy, with a walled garden, on the edge of a wood,  it looks straight onto the famous River Helmsdale.

 All three bedrooms are large, with stunning views and a separate staircase leads to the master bedroom which has a private bathroom. The kitchen/dining room has a full sized Rangemaster gas cooker, large fridge-freezer and dishwasher. With a big, pine table it is equipped to the highest standards. The sitting room has an open fire with coal included. It has Sky Free-Sat TV and a DVD player.

There is a utility room with washing machine and dryer and a separate drying room. 

 A  large games room with indoor table tennis has ample space for outdoor sports equipment and this house is well kitted out for fishermen in particular.

The house, like the other cottages at Borrobol,  includes a rowing boat on Loch Ascaig for wild brown trout fishing.

As the jewel in the crown of the three cottages at Borrobol, Dalcharn House can be taken on its own or  with Gardener's House and/or Crocdhu Cottage for larger parties.
