Location

We are 1 hr 45 mins north of Inverness in the county of Sutherland.
From Inverness take A9 towards Wick.
Turn off A9 at Helmsdale and take A897 towards Melvich
Follow the River Helmsdale for 14 miles. Borrobol is on the left with a sign post at the end of the road.
Turn into Borrobol, cross the bridge, go through the railway gates and past the Lodge on your left.
For The Gardener's House and Crocdhu Cottage, take the second turning on the left after the lodge. This track is signposted to both houses. You will see The Gardener's House as you reach the top of the hill and Crocdhu beyond it.
For Dalcharn, carry straight on past the Lodge until you get to a fork in the road. Take the right fork towards the farm. Go past the farmhouse and on across the ford over the River Friadh. Carry on up the hill where you will see Dalcharn at the top.
